The Affordable Care Act not only affects healthcare coverage, it also touches upon public health and other social issues like food insecurity and hunger. The president and CEO of The Greater Boston Food Bank writes about this, and also about CRCH being GBFB’s first community health center partner to address food insecurity in this Boston Globe article. For the community that we serve, food insecurity and lack of access to healthy food are among the top five most urgent needs, as shown in our 2015 assessment. Our partnership with GBFB to offer our monthly Mobile Market will continue to address this need.
