Health centers across the nation provide care to more than 24 million people in every U.S. state, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands and the Pacific Basin. One in 13 people and 1 in 10 children are receiving care from health center in the United States. In addition to making a significant positive impact in their communities by providing patient care, health centers employ nearly 190,000 people.
