CRCH Hires Matt Mullaney as Next CEO

The Board of Directors of Charles River Community Health (CRCH) is thrilled to announce that it has hired Matt Mullaney as the next CEO.  Mullaney was selected from a diverse pool of candidates, with the support of executive search firm WittKeiffer, who conducted a nationwide search for CRCH’s new CEO.  Matt will join CRCH on Monday, December 16, 2024.

Todd Woodworth, Chair of the CRCH Board of Directors, said, “We are delighted to have found an outstanding leader with a proven track record and tremendous commitment to community health and providing access to care. We are confident Matt has the character, experience, knowledge, passion, vision and connection to our mission needed to lead Charles River Community Health successfully into the future, and we look forward to working with him.”

Matt brings wide-ranging experience in healthcare to his role at CRCH, most recently serving as a founding executive, CFO, and division President for Community Care Cooperative, Inc. (C3), a network of non-profit health centers (FQHCs). His prior experience includes work in venture capital, consulting, a health plan, and a multi-state family caregiving services provider working principally in Medicaid. Matt’s family experience with sickness and health animates his work to improve access and quality of care. “I’m honored to have this opportunity to serve the Charles River Health community in Waltham, Brighton and the neighboring towns,” said Mullaney.  “My focus will be on the people we serve, and the employees who serve them.”

Matt earned his BA from Harvard College and MBA from MIT Sloan. Originally from Boise, Idaho, Matt lived in Somerville and Quincy before settling in Needham, Massachusetts where he lives with his partner and children.
