The Joseph M Smith Community Health Center is pleased to announce our 40th Anniversary Gala, an evening celebrating the health center’s commitment to the community for four decades! Designed to showcase the rich sights and sounds, cuisines and cultures of the neighborhoods we serve, the event will be held on October 23, 2014 from 6:00 to 9:00 pm at WGBH Studios in Brighton.
The promise of health reform can only be realized if all in the community have access to high-quality, cost-effective primary care services. This means the kind of patient-centered, family-friendly care that JMSCHC provides through 30,000 medical, pharmacy, dental, behavioral health, and vision visits by the 6,000 patients served at our Allston-Brighton sites each year. Our mission and philosophy have always been focused on empowering patients to take charge of their health and well-being. Today we are bursting at the seams, and need a new, larger health center to help us meet the growing need of the community. That is the purpose of our fundraiser.
We have come a long way since our early days in the Charlesview apartment complex, but our commitment to Joe Smith’s vision for our community has remained the same. Help us honor this important milestone, and Joe Smith’s legacy, at our anniversary gala this fall.
