New building inaugurates new era for renamed Charles River Community Health
The September 24th Ribbon Cutting for Joseph M. Smith Community Health Center’s new Brighton site at 495 Western Avenue marked an important milestone for us. We were very excited to show the new facility to our elected officials, donors, and friends who have been so supportive of this project. The new 48,000 square foot facility will allow us to bring much-needed services to nearly twice as many community members as we serve today. It was a project many years in the
making funded by grants, loans, and a capital campaign, which is still ongoing.
With the growth and updated image the new facility brings, and to further unify our services areas of Allston-Brighton and Waltham, we also shared the exciting news that we will be naming our new facility the Joseph M. Smith Building, under the new name for the health center,
which will be Charles River Community Health.
