We are LIVE on Epic!

On December 1, 2022, Charles River Community Health (CRCH) joined 10 Federally Qualified Health Centers in Massachusetts in coordination with the Community Technology Cooperative (CTC) and transitioned our electronic health record system to Epic.  This was the culmination of many months of coordinated work by staff and departments at CRCH to get us ready for the conversion.

Epic is a patient-centered platform that features a single, fully-integrated system which will help us better manage patient care will provide our patients with improved care and access to a new, online patient portal.  You can read more about the importance of Epic and the efforts of CTC in this press release.

CRCH would especially like to thank state representative from Allston-Brighton and Assistant Majority Leader Michael Moran for his efforts in helping to secure state funding for the Epic conversion, and championing the program from the onset.  Leader Moran has been a strong and tireless advocate for CRCH and community health centers.

The move to Epic will help CRCH improve patient care, improve care coordination, enhance the care team experience, and operate more efficiently.  While we expect this to be a smooth transition, we would like patients to understand that your first visit after we make this change may take a little longer as our staff are adjusting to the new system. We appreciate your patience and look forward to serving you better with Epic!
